Looking back on the 80’s, we had some pretty cool toys. Transformers, Smurfs, Care Bears, Star Wars, Jem, Cabbage Patch Dolls, to name a few, and Sears had them all!
One of the most popular toys back then was that adorable little red haired freckled, strawberry smelling doll, good ol’ Strawberry Shortcake.

Strawberry Shortcake has since been relaunched, and has come a long way, but it appears she has hit some financial hardships. Her “Berry Happy Home” has been downsized to a modest condo. Maybe she spent all her cash on her makeover? Thank goodness she kept the freckles and she still smells like berries.
Here is what Strawberry and her entourage look like today:
Who was your favorite? Hopefully not The Peculiar Purple Pieman or Sour Grapes!
